Nearly 300 winter coats, snow pants, gloves and hats were donated by Marshfield Clinic Research Institute to the Keep Kids Warm project, which aims to support local families in dressing warm during winter.
Research Institute staff collected the clothing from September 23 to October 11, partnering with Marshfield Area Community Foundation, Inc. to host the drive. More than $400 also was donated to buy new clothing.
"We had a great turnout this year and are excited that we were able to help keep families warm this winter," said Krystal Boese, administrative assistant at the Research Institute who is the chair of the drive.
The Research Institute participated two years ago, which also was very successful, donating more than 300 clothing items.
