Dr. Shimpi is currently an Associate Research Scientist within the Center for Oral and Systemic Health at MCRI. Dr. Shimpi received her PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from India and a master’s degree in Healthcare Management with majors in Health care Informatics from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her areas of research interest spans: medical and dental informatics, artificial intelligence, oral and systemic health connections, developing clinical decision support tools, provider and patient education and electronic health records.
