Dr. Michael Sadowsky is Distinguished McKnight University Professor, Department of Soil, Water and Climate; and Director BioTechnology Institute, University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MN. He studied at the Department of Bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Hawaii in 1983. Dr. Sadowsky's research efforts are directed towards Fecal Microbiota Transplantation and Therapeutics to cure several human diseases.
Research Interests: Molecular plant-microbe interactions in nitrogen-fixing symbiotic systems, investigations of the use of microorganisms for biodegradation and bioremediation; molecular methods to determine sources and kinds of bacteria in the environment; and metagenomics of soil, water, and intestinal environments.
