Statement

Melissa Slager is the Research Studies Manager for the Fritz Wenzel Center for Clinical Research (FWCCR). Her role is to create and promote research opportunities within the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Melissa is a critical member of the research management team, responsible for supervising staff and addressing research related issues within the FWCCR. She participates in the development and implementation of high priority departmental projects such as strategic planning, hiring, mentoring staff, improving performance, quality assurance, auditing, budget preparation, financial cost analysis, and compliance.

Melissa enjoys working in clinical research to better serve our patients by offering them new treatment options which they might otherwise not have access to, and finds it exciting to be part of a team that contributes to society as a whole. Innovative scientific developments offer the promise of significant advances for current and future patients, and Melissa finds it rewarding to be a part of that.
