Statement
Debra commenced her professional journey with the Marshfield Clinic Health System in June 1990. She served as a Medical Assistant in the Oncology/Hematology Department until June 1995, when she accepted a role as Research Coordinator with Oncology Research, focusing primarily on clinical trials in Oncology/Hematology. In January 1998, Debra achieved certification from the Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and subsequently obtained certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) in 1999.
In 2009, Debra transitioned to a newly established role within the Cancer Care and Research Center as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, a position she held until 2022, at which point she took on the role of Regulatory Affairs Specialist II with the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute Fritz Wenzel Center for Clinical Research (FWCCR). This career shift at FWCCR has enabled Debra to broaden her knowledge and skill set across various disease conditions. Debra firmly believes that learning is a lifelong pursuit, and in December 2021, she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Health Informatics & Information Management.
Debra is a strong advocate for the idea that clinical trials empower researchers to gain a deeper understanding of how to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases or conditions.
