Summer Research Internship Program
Offered each summer, the Summer Research Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to work with a mentor on a research project. Learn more about the Summer Research Internship Program.
Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The Research Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship Program offers a unique approach to training and career development in that participants are engaged across the Research Institute's interdisciplinary spectrum. The program is supported by all of the nationally-recognized centers within the Research Institute, as well as the support offices. Fellows include individuals holding positions funded by philanthropic efforts, research sponsors for specific studies or projects, internally funded by the research department and partner institution fellowship programs. The overarching goal of the program is to educate and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders. Individuals eligible to participate in professional and career development activities include all of the Research Institute's postdoctoral fellows as well as interested early career researchers currently employed at the Research Institute. Scientific Seminars
Marshfield Clinic Research Institute offers opportunities to attend or participate in Scientific Seminars, where scientific leaders present highlights and present important health research being conducted or completed across the globe. Learn more about scientific seminars.
Additional Educational Opportunities
We offer opportunities for Health System clinicians and Research Institute staff to attend or participate in special educational opportunities including research-based presentations and demonstrations. Topics include REDCap training and overviews of our grant and contract system, research navigation resource and scientific writing process. These events provide a platform for investigators, clinicians and staff to understand the roles and responsibilities, resources and program development processes that accompany conducting research.
Research Specific Training
- Pharmacogenetics Training Certificate Program: An intensive 2-week experience designed for Pharmacy students interested in learning the basics of pharmacogenetics, testing, interpretation, patient counseling, ethics and more. Contact the Center for Precision Medicine Research for more information.
