Dr. Holohan holds the Ebenreiter Fellowship in Precision Medicine and is focused on utilizing genomics, "big data" and machine learning approaches approaches to improve medical care.

Research Interests

Dr. Holohan is currnetly working on deploying associative memory classifiers and other high-throughput data mining techniques to take full advantage of the wealth of data available through the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Currently his specific projects include the development and use of technology to retrospectively evaluate drug efficacy in specific contexts within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) data both in a genotype-dependent and indepednent way. He is also working on systems to reduce readmissions to the hospital system and to understand the way that the genome and environmental factors influence human health.
